Friday's Pic of the Week. (with a story this time)

The other day I had to go to the bank before work. I got off at Oak Grove as usual and walked about a quarter mile to the Citizens Bank on Main Street in Malden. It was about 9 degrees out and the Bank wasn't opening for another 15 minutes. So with my face mask pulled up - I waited in the ATM area for the bank to open. After about the third person came to use the ATM, all looking at me very strangely, I realized that wearing a ski mask outside of a bank probably wasn't a smart move...

When the bank finally opened I felt like I was going through airport security. The bank had a weird set up with 2 locking doors before you get to the lobby. I guess when one opens the other one locks and then when the first closes again you are then let into the bank.

Since I was already thinking in bank robbery mode from my little ski mask FAIL, I remember thinking, "There is no way anyone could or would rob this bank, all banks should have this."

Well I was wrong. It seems some genius had the brilliant idea of robbing that exact bank.

Well then to no one's surprise, except maybe his, he got stuck in the door system after "withdrawing" some cash.

His solution?

Empty 5 rounds into the door and make his escape.

I mean this guy has to be the dumbest bank robber of all time.

Didn't he do his research? Didn't he see that this bank was like the freaking Alcatrez of Boston banks? Didn't he realize the bank had cameras? Did he think at all?

It seems like the answer is NO to all the above, because as you can see, he is basically smiling for the security cameras.

What a moron.

(As a sidenote: I'm glad he wasn't wearing a mask. If he had, I'm sure the police would have been making me a little visit wondering why I was camped out in the ATM machine a week earlier - fully masked.)

But I have the perfect aliby - I'm not black.
